Tedlar Sheets (TEDLAR/ POLYESTER/TEDLAR LAMINATE)

Used in Phtovoltaic panels as backsheet material.

The TPT laminate is supplied in form of rolls in widths from 401mm onwards.

The complete specifications are as such:

Laminated composite backing sheet for photovoltaic module.
Material is to be used as back cover in solar voltaic cells in the manufacture of SPV modules.

2. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

2.1 MATERIAL

Tedlar (PVF) polyester (PETP) Tedlar with primer.

2.2 DIMENSIONS

Width: as per order requirements ± 1.0mm
Thickness: 0.18mm ± 0.010mm

2.3 COMPOSITE MATERIAL

Tedlar: 0.0375mm
Polyester: 0.0760mm
Tedlar: 0.0375mm
Primer: 0.010mm (approx)

2.4 COLOR
White

3. THERMAL STABILITY
Dimensional change shall not exceed 2.0% in length and 1% in width when the material is
Kept at 1600C for 30 minutes.

4. PEEL STRENGTH
When peel testing is carried out there should be film damage prior to delamination
taking place.

5. SHELF LIFE
One year if stored at no greater than 40oC.

6. PACKAGING

6.1 Material shall be supplied on 3” cores.

6.2 Each roll shall have manufacturer’s label containing date of manufacture and roll
number.

6.3 Material shall be packed in polythene, or other suitable material, and sealed so as to
avoid possible material degradation.

6.4 Material shall be supported on end supports during transit.

6.5 Outer roll label, and box label, shall have the following details:
Roll number
Roll length and width
Roll weight
Date of manufacture
Manufacturer’s name
